Service Description

CLASS SCHEDULE 1 time/month September 14 October 12th November 9th December 7th ***Ages 8-13*** Early registration is 10% off by September 1st for $90 for all 4 sessions Regular registration cost is $100 for all 4 sessions We will be learning new recipes that your child can replicate at home. Each month we will be making something new. Cooking is a fun way to encourage your child's thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It allows children the opportunity to use the knowledge they have and apply it by counting, measuring, following a sequence, following directions, and cause and effect. Food preparation skills cross a variety of curricular domains, and learning to prepare simple meals can improve independence and nutrition. In addition, kids learn by exploring with their senses and the kitchen is an ideal place to do that. Exposure to new textures, smells, and tastes in addition to helping to prepare the meal may increase a child's willingness to try new foods. Cooking with peers also encourages food exploration and can increase confidence around a variety of foods.

Classes may be cancelled in the event of low attendance to foster a social learning environment. ***This refund/cancellation policy excludes groups/camps booked as a series.
